Welcome to the Pantai Medical Centre, Cancer Institute. Here at Pantai Medical Centre, we strive to serve from our hearts, giving our fullest and sincerest attention and care, with much affection and compassion.
The Oncology Department at Pantai Medical Centre is one of the first establishments for cancer treatment in Malaysia. Since our opening in 1981, our oncology department has already featured advanced radiotherapy equipment of its time, and we have recently committed a brand new patient cancer centre as well as extensive refurbishments to our existing Pantai Cancer Institute. With all the upgrades, patients now have easy access to any of our oncologists.
At our Pantai Cancer Institute, we offer various kinds of treatment, from radiation treatment, chemotherapy to surgery, all depending on our patients’ age, stage of cancer and other medical conditions. With our highly trained and well experienced oncologists on board, all of our patients are and will be carefully treated and cared for.
Comprehensive Care
Living with cancer can be very stressful and painful, not only for the patients, but for their family and friends as well. This is why we insist in also providing a holistic approach to cancer treatment. With our panel of experienced healthcare professionals and Medical & Clinical Oncologists who are all accredited member of the International Society of Oncology, they are supported by specialized physicists, radiologists, radiation therapists, oncology nurses, counselors, dieticians and pharmacists.
Our Chemotherapy Daycare Centre
For our out-patients, they are treated in our spacious and comfortable Daycare Centre. Our chemotherapy drugs are prepared very carefully by our pharmacists in our dedicated Cytotoxic Reconstitution Unit. A part from that, a highly trained dietitian is designated to you to help you understand and maintain your dietary needs before, during and after your treatments. Our pharmacists are also at hand to help explain your drug therapy and any side effects.
Our Radiotherapy Unit
At Pantai Medical Centre, we present the most up-to-date radiation therapy in fighting cancer – ELEKTRA SYNERGY SYSTEM, the first of its kind in Malaysia. It is capable of delivering Intensify Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT).
The machine allows our oncologists to focus the most effectual dosage of radiation on targeted area(s) in which to destroy all cancer cells with the fully robotic positioning system and pin-point precision, which causes less harm and complications to all surrounding healthy tissues. It is also able to deliver Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (SRT) and Total Body Irradiation (TBI). Adding to that, our Phillips Brilliance Bore CT is capable of delivering crisp and clear diagnostic images which in return allows our oncologists to detect any cancer at an earlier stage and aid in more fitting treatment planning.
Other Services We Provide
At Pantai Medical Centre, we also provide a variety of other services, including a full range of cancer screening and diagnostic services. To name a few of the latest ones includes:
64 Multi-slice CT Scan, Bronchoscopy with Auto Fluorescence Imaging Modality and Digital Angio-fluoroscopy for interventional radiology.
We also offer wide range cancer-related specialties such as Haemato-Oncology, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Radiology, Colorectal Surgery and also our very own specialized Breast Care Centre.
The Breast Care Centre is particularly designed to give special breast care and disease management. We are fully committed to early detection of breast cancer and timely medical intervention. Surgeons, clinical oncologists and radiologists will work with you to find the best possible treatment suited for you. |
